The UEFA European Championship, commonly referred to as the Euro, is the primary association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). As of 2021, the European Championship has been held 15 times.

The tournament was first held in 1960 and has since taken place every four years, with the exception of 2020 when it was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The most recent edition, Euro 2020, was held in 2021 across multiple European cities.

The Euro has seen some of the greatest footballing nations in Europe compete for the prestigious title, with Germany and Spain being the most successful teams in the history of the tournament, each winning it three times.
